Alaa Mahamid, a resident of Umm al-Fahm, died of his wounds on Thursday after being shot by police officers. According to the police account, he entered his car and fled after being detained, and then assaulted police officers after he was detained again. His family said Mahamid had a mental health disorder and had previously received treatment at the Sha'ar Menashe Mental Health Center.

The Killing in Jaffa

Yassin Daqqa, 28, was shot dead in Jaffa on Tuesday evening. Shortly afterward, police arrested a man in his twenties on suspicion of involvement. The investigation was transferred to the Israel Police's Tel Aviv District Central Unit.
